The appearance of the teeth is the most noticeable factor in facial aesthetics. A healthy and beautiful tooth structure and an eye-catching smile as a result of these enhance the self-confidence of the person and influence social communication positively. The teeth seem to be well-groomed and healthy, other people are also positively influencing the impression about the person. When the dental health and dental aesthetics are taken together, the quality of life of the person will also increase.
Mimics can only become an effective communication tool when integrated with smile. The irregularities in the tooth alignment, gaps between the teeth, tooth marks and discoloration diminish the effects of the mimics by negatively affecting the smile. The dental aesthetic factor plays a positive or negative role in the communication of people who do not know each other and especially in the first impression formation at the moment of meeting. All these factors also affect the person’s mood.
Today, there are technologies that enable aesthetic dental treatments to be completed in a short time. Dental treatments such as leaf porcelains, full ceramic bridges and porcelain fillings can be made in one session. Immediately after preparation of the dental prosthesis in the system, it is taken by the digital camera and transferred to the computer environment in 3D at the same time. The doctor identifies the new dental appearance in the 3D environment with the patient. Then the new teeth are prepared by scraping the special porcelain blocks from the device.
Your teeth will become white in professional hands.
Whitening is the process of eliminating colorings that occur in the structure of teeth and cause problems in terms of aesthetics. In our clinic, laser tooth whitening is applied with sessions lasting 45 min – 1 hour, and on request the patient is given a special whitening kit to continue the treatment at home.
How many different kinds of teeth whitening methods are available?
There are 4 different methods;
- Home type whitening method
- Office type whitening
- In-canal whitening
- Combination type whitening
Home type whitening method
Special whitening plates are prepared by taking measurements from inside the mouth. A certain amount of whitening gel is applied into this prepared flask. The plaque is used for at least 4-6 hours during the day. It is a treatment that lasts about 10-15 days.
Office type whitening
Clinically applied tooth whitening method. Provides effective whitening in a much shorter time, like an average of 1 hour.
Combination type whitening
It is a method of tooth whitening applied together with both office and home type. After applying in the office or clinic, the operation is supported with house type bleaching for 2-3 days.
What is in-canal whitening?
After canal treatment is applied to the colored teeth. Remove the backing filler and apply whitening gel to the cavity. The tooth is then closed tightly with a temporary filling. The sessions are repeated until reaching the desired renge.
Damage or side effects of tooth whitening
Whitening methods other than lifeless teeth (canal treatment) may cause sensitivity if less in teeth. This is a normal and expected side effect. To prevent or reduce this condition, the patient may be given fluoride prior to bleaching, or the teeth are supported with a tenderness dentifrice two weeks in advance. It is generally expected that the tooth sensitivity will pass within 24-48 hours.
How are the teeth whitening?
Tooth whitening occurs due to the removal of colored organic and inorganic substances formed by the porous enamel structure on the surface of teeth with tooth whitening gels.
RESTORATIVE AESTHETIC FILLING
Aesthetic fillings include the cleaning of dental caries, the formation of an artificial filling material and the restoration and treatment of the teeth. Teeth, which are worn, colored, delicate, intermittent, fracture, shape, texture and deformity of the tooth decay, perform treatment of mild irregularities. For these treatments, light white fillers, porcelain fillings (inlay – onlay), fiber applications, bleaching methods, tenderers, laser technology and lamina applications are used.
Aesthetic filling material is composite. It is formable and halogen is light cured and chemically bonded to the tooth. Along with the developing technology, the material content has been strengthened and a more aesthetic and healthy structure than the metal fillings has been passed. As long as your teeth are routinely maintained, there is no need to replace the aesthetic filler if there is no decay in the teeth.
